About

Academic

"Science refines what art imagines — together, they shape the future of healing."

Alongside my clinical practice, I remain deeply committed to academic inquiry, research, and teaching — guided by curiosity, precision, and a belief that true innovation begins with understanding. My academic journey has taken me from the anatomy lab to the operating theatre, from international podiums to peer-reviewed journals — always with the same purpose: to refine, to question, and to contribute.

My research spans reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and microsurgical innovation, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including the British Journal of Dermatology, BMJ, Journal of Hand Surgery, and JPRAS. These works explore the delicate relationship between form and function — from managing rare nerve tumours to advancing reconstructive techniques and refining the nuances of aesthetic surgery.

I have presented my research at international and national conferences across Europe, North America, and Asia, receiving multiple awards for oral and poster presentations from professional societies such as BSSHBAPRASFESSHASSH, and BAAPS. My dedication to research has been recognised through more than 30 academic and presentation prizes, reflecting both scientific rigour and a pursuit of artistry within surgery.

In academia, as in the operating theatre, I strive to balance precision with imagination — where evidence guides, intuition inspires, and creativity defines.
